Atheist Foundation of Australia and the Tasmanian Devil

The Atheist Foundation of Australia has decided to waste money on bus ads during a time of recession and disaster.

They are placing bus ads in Tasmania, Australia that read, “Atheism” and “Celebrate Reason!” as if it is reasonable to waste much needed and donated money attempting to boast in how clever they are.

Again, I say as with certain Freedom From Religion Foundation ads: Oh, so close!

The ad came just short of quoting the Bible,

“‘Come now, let us reason together,’ says the LORD.” (Isaiah 1:18).

FYI: be on the lookout for the Atheist Foundation of Australia’s appearance in an upcoming January 22, 2010 AD post…………

Do you know what the Australia economy is doing, let alone the Tasmanian?

Did you blink an eye at the thousands that died in African civil wars every couple of weeks last year?

Or did you just open type away because you saw the word Atheism and your cognitive dissonance kicked in?

Keep sending those solar powered bibles to Haiti, thats what they really need, isn't it?

  3. Actually, there are new bus ads sponsered by a Christian group in Texas that read "God Is". I guess Christians wasting money is okay?

  4. This may come as a shock to some, but there is no recession in Australia at the moment, because we were not affected by the global economic meltdown. Nor have there been any natural disasters this year, so I really do not see what the point of this article actually is, apart from demonstrating the ignorance of the one who wrote it.

  5. As a Tasmanian were not the bus ads in response to ultra conservative (religious funded) pro-life Anti-abortion ads that have been running on Tasmanian buses for years?
